West Hill Primary School – Forest School
We were delighted to be able to assist West Hill Primary School with their Forest School project.
Combe Estate provided timber from its sustainably managed woodlands for the construction of log benches for the children when using their Forest School.
In addition the estate provided small pieces of wood for the children to use to carve items form as part of their learning experience at the Forest School.
Andrew Vincent, the head Forester at the Estate, installed the timber benches for the school over the summer holidays. Justin Lascelles, Estate Manager at Combe Estate, said “We were extremely pleased to be able to assist West Hill Primary School in this project. It is very important that the children are able to learn about the countryside and natural environment and the estate is a great supporter of countryside learning projects such as this.”
